Me and My Roommates in Venneit Close 83

My three roommates are all great people, and we are a very different people who go well together. JP (Jonathan Peterson) is also from Mississippi State, and he is majoring in Economics. He was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He is a very contemplative person who has a great thirst for knowledge. He wants to read all the classics, and we are sure to have many very deep conversations about life this summer. We did not really know each other before this summer, but I hope to keep in touch with him next year when we go back to Mississippi State for our last year.

My two other roommates are from the Institute of World Politics (IWP), Mike and Chris (Michael Zugsmith Chris Guffey). IWP is a “conservative think-tank” graduate school in Washington, DC. Interestingly enough, both of them are very liberal, but are going there because it is still a great school and gives them great connections for good jobs. Mike is from Los Angeles and went to Occidental College for his undergraduate degree. Chris is from Brady, Texas and went to the University of North Texas for his undergraduate degree. I’ve only known them for a few days, but I feel like I have known them for so much longer. We have had some great talks so far, and we have discussed everything from philosophy and religion, to our respective hometowns, family and friends, college stories, and less serious and sentimental stuff also, like everyday guy stuff. Chris is one of the most well-read people I have ever met — pure genius. Mike is one of the craziest guys I have ever met — pure passion and heart. Jonathan is one of the most knowledge-hungry people I have ever met — pure desire. It is a going to be a great summer to learn from and grow with this crew.
